Services Provided

WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC provides Nutrition Education, Breastfeeding Support, and Supplemental Foods.

Qualifications

You may qualify for the WIC Program if you are:

  • Pregnant, breastfeeding, or a woman who recently had a child (up to six months)
  • An infant or child under the age of 5
  • At medical or nutrition risk and meet income guidelines

Did you know?

Crawford County WIC offers Breastfeeding Support and Education to WIC Participants. We have an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) on staff along with an experienced Breastfeeding Peer Helper to assist mothers with resources and knowledge to increase initiation and duration of breastfeeding. Our IBCLC also offers breastfeeding classes and learning groups. See link below.

Crawford County WIC is also an OhioHealth Mothers’ Milk Bank Donor Drop off Site

The OhioHealth Mothers’ Milk Bank relies on donations from healthy, lactating women who generously provide milk to help other babies. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
