Resident Campground

Resident Campgrounds are regulated by Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 3701-25. The rules may be found on the ODH Website at: http://www.odh.ohio.gov/en/rules/final/3701-20-29/f3701-25.aspx

A Resident Camp is defined as, “a facility which is being primarily used for the purpose of camping, that requires overnight residence, indoor or outdoor activities, and exists on any tract of land together with any buildings or structures pertinent to its use.”

A Resident Camp does not include:

  • Any university, college or other educational facilities
  • Any use of a tract of land or property determined by the Board of Health as not being within the intent of this chapter.

Our office currently licenses two (2) Resident Camps in Crawford County and inspects them annually.
