School Services Screening

The Crawford County Public Health contracts with local school districts to provide registered nurses for school health screening services.

These nurses review immunization records to assure compliance with the mandatory vaccine requirements and complete the annual immunization report for the district for the state. They also provide screening services for hearing, vision and scoliosis.

These nurses work with the school staff to develop and implement Individual Health Plans (IHPs) for those students with specialized health care needs. They serve as a resource for health education programs in the schools. The nurses attend yearly school nurse seminars to stay current in school health services.

• Crestline St. Joseph
• Wynford School District
